Plant of Microelectronic Technologies was a creative partner of international “Glass Forum”

Every year StekloDelie LLC traditionally invites leading Russian glass factories to Suzdal to take part in the main sectorial event “Glass Forum”. In 2025 it gathered dozens of glass factories (Siberian Glass, SVET, Red Glass, Expo Glass, Glass Décor and many others), suppliers of raw materials, components and equipment from Russia, India and China. The event covered a wide range of topics split into 6 workgroups: Consumer Sector, Market, Ecology, Human Resources, Production and Innovations.

The forum level can be highlighted by the fact that it was held under the auspices of Government and Ministry of Economic Development of Vladimir region.

The speakers pointed out that the Russian market of glass packaging was being developed. The representative of analytic company “Nielsen Data Factory” Ilia Smirnov declared that glass was packaging of the future due to its environmental friendliness and multiple recycling capability. The Head of Union of Russian Brewers Daniil Briman stated that the Russian brewing market was growing, new local brands emerged and they must have domestic glass bottles for pouring in their products.

The limiting factor for Russian glass production growth is its critical dependence on imported equipment and components.

Under the paradigm of overcoming this dependence, Plant of Microelectronic Technologies (ZMT LLC) decided to highlight once again its measuring and testing equipment for glass factories and became the creative partner of Glass Forum. The leading expert of ZMT LLC Evgeny Elizarov made the presentation at the workgroup “Production” session.

During the presentation, the forum participants got acquainted with new mass-production items (two-position machine for testing glass packaging by hydrostatic pressure UIS-GD2P and laboratory-type inspection machine MILT-1). It was stated separately that in 2026 ZMT LLC plans to finalize the development and launch the mass production of the following equipment: thickness gauge for hot-dip coating IT-GP, inspection machines for monitoring quality of glass packaging MIT-1, MIVD-1.

In the final day of the forum the representatives of ZMT LLC visited Gusev Glass College that trains human resources for glass factories. It is essential that college students are also trained to operate the equipment of ZMT LLC purchased by the college in 2024. Director of the college Yury Filchakov specified that he recommended Izhevsk equipment to heads of educational institutions educating specialists for glass factories to be introduced into the educational process.
